In order to successfully complete the program, students must accumulate 90 European credits (EC) as follows: 60 EC for completed modules, 9 EC for attendance at the Aalto Executive Summit and 9 EC for the final Business Strategy Project. All modules include a pre-assignment, class attendance, exam (in class or take home) and possible other assignments.
The program starts in October and can be completed in 20 months.
The program has a modular structure and follows a six week learning cycle. Contact hours are typically once a month on a Tuesday through to Thursday from 08:30 to 16:00.

A key component of the Aalto EMBA programme is the Aalto Executive Summit, wherein the candidate will travel to one of the Aalto University Executive Education locations (Helsinki or Singapore).
The Aalto Executive Summit brings together Aalto EMBA participants and alumni from all the locations-Djakarta, Helsinki, Poznan, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei and Tehran. During one intensive week, participants will complete two elective modules while enjoying a unique opportunity to meet and network with other business leaders.
Organisation relating to visa, travel and accommodation for the Aalto Executive Summit will be managed by IBS. All costs pertaining to attendance at Aalto Executive Summit will be covered by the student, although no tuition fees are applicable in addition to those already paid as part of attending the Aalto EMBA program.
The Aalto EMBA program includes a Business Strategy Project (BSP) carried out in a team with the final aim of developing an analytical tool or solution for a concrete strategic business problem faced by a company. The project aims to utilize the insights gained during the program, with project groups organized to maximize use of the individual competencies of their members. Skilled tutors from Aalto University help the teams develop an update on the state-of-the-art in academic research related to the project topic.
